Custom Rack Blank Printing Process Guide

  1. Purchase & Upload Information/Logos
    To begin your custom order, select the rack blanks you want and then upload your company logos and other design files directly on the product page before you add the item to your cart. The file formats we accept are .AI, .EPS, or .SVG. You can upload up to three designs or brand elements (e.g., logo, phone numbers, website, QR codes) that will be printed on your rack blanks. Once you've uploaded your designs, you can proceed to add the item to your cart and complete the purchase.
  2. Design Approval Email
    Once your order and design files are submitted, our team will review the files to ensure they meet our printing guidelines. Within 3-5 business days, you will receive an approval email with a mockup of your design. This is your opportunity to review and approve the layout and design. If any changes are needed, we will work with you to revise the design. We offer up to 3 revisions at no additional cost. After the third revision, any further changes will incur a $30 charge per additional revision.
  3. Printing Process
    After you approve the mockup, printing will take 3-5 business days to complete. Our team will ensure the design is printed with the highest quality standards on your chosen rack blanks. Production time may vary depending on the complexity of your design and the current production queue.
  4. Shipping
    Once the printing process is complete, your order will be shipped to your specified address. Shipping times vary depending on your location and the shipping method selected during checkout. You will receive a tracking number once your order ships, so you can follow the progress of your delivery.
  5. Reordering Custom Racks
    If you need more custom rack blanks in the future, you can reorder easily by going to your order history. Important: Re-orders will not require a design approval email. If your design remains the same and no changes are needed, we will immediately begin printing your racks as soon as your re-order is placed, and your order will be shipped out without the approval step.
    However, if you do need to make any changes to your design (e.g., updates to logos, text, colors, or layout), you will need to restart the ordering process from the beginning. This ensures that your new design is reviewed and approved before printing.

No, each custom design must be uploaded separately for each individual rack blank. If you need different designs for various blanks in your order, please place separate orders for each unique design. This ensures the printing process is accurate and tailored to your specifications.

Your logo or design file should be under 150MB to ensure it can be processed properly. If your file exceeds this size, please reduce the file size before uploading.

You are uploading your own colored logo, and we recommend selecting logos that contrast well with the black rack blanks. Lighter-colored logos tend to work best, so we advise avoiding colors like black, dark navy blue, or other dark hues. We also recommend avoiding overly intricate details that may not print well on small surfaces. If you’re unsure about your design’s suitability, feel free to contact dtsprinting@waveinc.net for guidance.

Yes! You can customize your rack blanks with phone numbers, QR codes, websites, or other specific brand elements. There are a total of three places where designs can be added to the rack blanks, so you can upload up to three unique designs/brand elements in one order.

We only offer 1U and 2U rack blanks from the RACK brand. Please check the specs for these models in the section above.

Yes! Once your design is uploaded, we’ll provide a digital sample for your approval before proceeding with the print. This ensures that your logo or design appears exactly as you expect on the rack blanks.

Once your order is placed and the design is approved, changes may not be possible. If you need to modify your design, please contact us as soon as possible at dtsprinting@waveinc.net. We’ll do our best to accommodate changes before printing begins, but this will depend on the stage of the production process.

Standard production time for custom printing is typically 6-8 business days after design approval. Shipping time will vary based on your location and the selected shipping method.

Yes! We offer rack blanks in increments of 20. However, please note that we do not offer bulk discounts.

We do not offer physical samples for custom rack blanks, but you will receive a design approval email within 3-5 business days after placing your order. Additionally, every WAVE Electronics location carries sample rack blanks in person for viewing.

If you receive an incorrect or damaged order, please contact your sales rep immediately. They will assist you with resolving the issue, whether by sending replacements or providing a suitable solution. Please provide photos of the damaged item or incorrect order to expedite the process.
